
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirodjidin Aslov, was in Luxembourg today for meetings with Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn as part of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Republic of Tajikistan.
In this context, the exchanges between Ministers Asselborn and Aslov were devoted to the development of relations between the Grand Duchy and the Republic of Tajikistan. The Luxembourg Cooperation funds development projects in Tajikistan in the border region with Afghanistan.
The two ministers then discussed relations with the European Union following the holding of the sixth meeting of the Cooperation Council between the EU and the Republic of Tajikistan on 15 May. They reviewed the implementation of the EU Strategy for Central Asia and the EU Action Plan for Democracy and Human Rights in Tajikistan.
