Luxembourg Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Jean Asselborn will attend the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers to be held in Brussels on Friday 31 March.

The ministerial meeting, chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, will focus on reaffirming the transatlantic link and addressing the most pressing security challenges facing the Alliance as a preparation for the Heads of State and Government of NATO member countries, to be held in Brussels on 25 May.

In particular, the ministers will have a working session on burden-sharing within the Alliance, the projection of stability and capacity building of NATO partner countries, and NATO's role in the fight against terrorism. Ministers will also have an exchange of views on the implementation of the dual approach to Russia -- deterrence and dialogue -- which was agreed at the Warsaw summit in July 2016.

The Allies will also hold a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at ministerial level to discuss the security situation in Ukraine, the ongoing reform process and NATO-Ukraine cooperation.
