At the invitation of Foreign Minister of Tunisia, Khemaies Jhinaoui, Jean Asselborn will be in Tunis on 2 and 3 May 2016 for a working visit.
During his visit, Luxembourg's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs will be received by President of Tunisia, Béji Caid Essebsi, and will meet the Head of the Tunisian Government, Habib Essid, as well as his Tunisian counterpart. Minister Asselborn is also expected to hold a meeting with the Tunisia-Luxembourg friendship parliamentary group, as well as the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet which was awarded the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize.
Meetings between the minister and the Tunisian representatives is due to focus on bilateral relations, the political situation in Tunisia and the region, as well as international politics.
