On Thursday 21 April 2016, Luxembourg's Minister for the Greater Region, Corinne Cahen, paid a courtesy visit to the new president of the Regional Council of Alsace Champagne-Ardenne Lorraine, Philippe Richert.
During the meeting, Minister Cahen congratulated the president on his election, highlighting the importance of good cooperation within the Greater Region. The discussions then focused on current issues in cross-border cooperation, particularly in the transport and vocational training sectors.
Other matters on the agenda included the governance of the Greater Region, structural changes following the territorial reform and the future Luxembourg Presidency of the Summit of the Greater Region 2017-2018.
