The Luxembourg Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, is in Brussels today to participate in the 'Foreign Affairs' Council of the European Union.
The Council is due to first of all discuss regional matters regarding Eastern partners, speaking on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) with Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova.
Ministers will then focus on the implementation of existing strategies and commitments made as part of the fight against terrorism. They will speak on the international financing of terrorism and firearms trafficking.
A working lunch with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, will then be devoted to foreign policy issues in the region.
The Council is also expected to reflect on the evolution of the current situation in Iraq and Libya.
