Bee Together is organising a Bee Prepared event on Tuesday, 13 January from 19:00 onwards in Luxembourg City (venue to be confirmed) with registrations now open; they will also be holding beekeeping theory courses in English from February to April
Some experienced beekeepers will be present to discuss preparations to become a beekeeper, particularly ifor those who intend to become one in 2015, such as:
- what type of beekeeping are you thinking of undertaking (e.g. beekeeper-friendly, bee-friendly)
- what race of bees are you thinking of obtaining and why
- what beehive system are you thinking of purchasing and why
- what to buy: clothing, tools, beehive system, bee colonies
- where to buy it
- where to set it up: if you need land on which to put your beehive, Bee Social can probably help you; orientation of the hive

For those who are making preparations for becoming a beekeeper, Bee Social recommends that you become a member of a local beekeeping club (and to receive the monthly Beien Zeitung beekeepers’ magazine).
