The Luxembourg Association of English Teachers (ALEA) is organising a talk by Ben Crystal on William Shakespeare entitled "Shakespeare on Toast, or Getting a Taste for Shakespeare" on Tuesday 14 January at the Forum Geessekanppchen at 18:30.
The talk is to centre on Shakespeare's drama and its characteristic blend of poetic form and meaning. the objective is to highlight a Bard's lasting significance as a writer whose insight into the human predicament is just as relevant today as it was 400 years ago and whose poetic magic lends timelesness to his vision.
Ben Crystal, actor and writer, narrator for RNIB Talking Books, Channel 4 and the BBC. He co-wrote Shakespeare's Words (Penguin 2002) and the shakespeare Miscellany (Penguin 2005) with David Crystal. Ben Crystal regularly gives talks and workshops on William Shakespeare.
