SantaCon arrived in the Grand Duchy on Saturday; while well over one hundred "Santas" had confirmed their participation beforehand, the number that met at the starting point, the Place de la Constituion was considerably less.

Maybe they thought that midday was too early a start and would not be able to last the course; in any case, there was no need to be concerned as the group soon swelled as they moved from watering hole to watering hole, stopping off from time to time for photo opportunites and to grab a bite to eat.

The group attracted attention at various locations along the rounte, from the upper old city down to the Grund and Clausen. At the Place d'Armes and the Christmas market there, they were taken for Caol Singers in costume and willingly obliged with a reddition of Jingle Bells, before they ran out of verses...

All those had a good time and the pubs and bars frequented put aside a portion of their takings from the "Santas" to a charitable cause.
