The English-speaking Section of natur&ëmwelt has announced a Fit by Nature event that takes place on Saturday 23 November 2013 from 09:30 to 15:00.
Stay fit is an alternative way to stay fit and to volunteer some of your time for nature & protect biodiversity in Luxembourg. Enjoy a day out in the field, together with other people, while doing some important work for the protection of wildlife in Luxembourg.
Your work makes a difference - for the Grey Partridge.
The area between the towns of Brouch and Bech is one of the last known places in Luxembourg where the Grey Partridge (Perdix perdix) breeds. Those attending the event will clear part of the site to open it up to create a wildflower meadow. Surrounding hedgerows will provide shelter and a barrier against agricultural fields.
Learn more about the Grey Partridge: an explanation of the grey partridge's behaviour and habitat, the site, its importance and the future plan for the development of the site will be given at the event.
