The Ostrich farm in Filsdorf held its annual Open Week-end on Saturday and Sunday.
As usual, the crowds came out to have a great time with tents and stalls erected in the farmyard, offering drinks as well as a range of ostrich produce - from ostrich burgers, sausages and steaks to eat, to decorated eggs and ostrich leather goods as accessories, there was something for everyone, including guided tours to see the adult and baby ostriches on the farm.
In addition, various bands performed for the guests, icnluding Fade to Gray on Saturday and the Bank city Rollers and Deppegeisser on Sunday.
With the parking much improved this year - a field at the back of the farm was set up as a car park especially for visitors to the Open Week-end, thus avoiding parking on the main road makign it dangerous for pedestrians and other roas users.
