The Luxembourg Public Roads Administration is carrying out roadworks on the A13 motorway between 19:00 on Friday 2 December and 06:00 on Monday 5 December 2016.

The roadworks, which form part of the planning for the Hellange interchange on the A13, are currently taking place between the Bettembourg crossing and the Altwies interchange and will last until Monday 5 December 2016.

During this period, the part of the motorway between the Bettembourg crossing and the Altwies interchange is closed off in both directions, along with the feeder roads from the Bettembourg crossing coming from the A3 and in the direction of Schengen on the A13. The feeder roads and the exit at the Hellange and Frisange interchanges are also closed.

Traffic coming from the A3 and the A13 in the direction of Schengen is being diverted from the Dudelange-Centre interchange (A13) via the CR161, N13 and N16 until the Altwies interchange (A13). Likewise, traffic coming from Schengen on the A13 in the direction of the Bettembourg crossing is being diverted from the Altwies interchange via the N16 and N13 until the Livange interchange (A3).

Moreover, from Monday 5 December onwards, traffic at the top of the Hellange interchange will be led onto 2+1 lanes. There will be two lanes in the direction of Petange with a speed limit of 90km/h until 19 December 2016. There will be one lane in the direction of Schengen limited to 70km/h.

The opening of the road into two lanes in both directions is expected to last until the end of December.
