Espace Lemogne is celebrating 84 years since Louis Lemogne founded the interior design service in Luxembourg in 1933.

In 1924, Louis Lemogne was the representative for the Grand Duchy of the Fabrola, a company which hired 120 workers to make fine brushes mainly for the English market. When the company shut downin 1933, Louis Lemogne founded his own brush factory in Bonnevoie which expanded to Bereldange after years of development. Louis Lemogne’s son Alphonse Lemogne then took over the family business following his studies at university.

The brush factory later transformed into one of interior design with factories for mechanically made carpets sold almost exclusively to specialist shops. Alphonse’s son Bob Lemogne’s interest in regular travel led the company to also specialise in Eastern-style carpets.

In 2005, due to personal reasons, Bob Lemogne decided to sell on the different departments to the company’s main collaborators, but kept those of curtains, blinds and canopies under the name Lemogne Rideaux.

The department for flooring, ‘Lemogne Project Partner’ became PROJECT PARTNER under Vincent Stawowski, and is still prosperous today. The department for carpets, ‘Lemogne Tapis’ became Orienta Design, whilst the departments for lamps and furniture, ‘Ambiances Lemogne’, and laminated flooring, ‘Lemogne Parquets’ became Ambiances STEINBRECH and SEKOYA DECORS, then WOOD’LIKE, respectively. However, these last three companies disappeared some years later and are now under PROJECT PARTNER.

The five businesses were reunited in their values which focus on the people involved, mainly their partners, and their needs, as well as the sharing of knowledge and experience.

Today, the company focuses on constant improvement and permanent innovation with modern and professional brands with its quality products.
