Following the mid-August announcement concerning a suspected anti-doping rule violation by Luxembourg cyclist Pascal Triebel, the Luxembourg Anti-Doping Agency (ALAD) lodged a complaint with the Disciplinary Committee against Doping (CDD)
Pascal Triebel was accused of having withdrawn from doping control on 31 July 2016 on the occasion of a mountain bike race in Orscholz, Germany.
The ALAD has confirmed that, after the case had been thoroughly investigated, including obtaining statements by the screening officer and chaperone who testified at the second hearing on 20 October 2016, the CDD established that a violation of Article 2.3 of the ALAD Anti-Doping Code had happened, and imposed a four-year suspension on 24 November 2016.
The decision may be appealed to the Higher Disciplinary Council against Doping, which must be appealed within fourteen days.
