On 23 and 24 November 2016, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Olga Golodets, is undertaking a work visit in Luxembourg.
As part of her work visit to Luxembourg, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets has a meeting with Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel at the Hotel de Bourgogne. Together they will essentially discuss bilateral relations between Russia and the European Union.
Xavier Bettel and Olga Golodets, accompanied by Her Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duchess, attended the Orchestre du Théâtre Mariinsky directed by the maestro Valery Gergiev who is also the honorary consul for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Saint Petersburg.
The event, which is taking place at the Philharmonie Luxembourg is part of the 125 year anniversary celebrations of diplomatic relations between Russia and Luxembourg.
On 24 November 2016, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Culture, Guy Arendt, will meet at the National History and Art Museum for a guided tour as well as at the Bibliothèque nationale.
The Russian delegation will then arrive at Belval Campus where she will be received by Marc Hansen, Luxembourg’s delegated Minister for Higher Education and Research. Following the presentation of the large-scale model of the blast furnaces terrace, Olga Golodets will exchange opinions with the University of Luxembourg’s rector, Professor Dr Rainer Klump, at the Maison du Savoir. She also met with the director of the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedecine (LCSB), Rudi Balling.
Olga Golodets is also meeting with the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Mars Di Bartolomeo as part of her work visit.
