The Luxembourg Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure has announced the reorganisation of the RGTR (Régime general des transports routiers) regional bus routes, and is looking for public suggestions.
In an attempt to respond to the demands of citizens and municipalities, the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure has implemented a project to reorganise RGTR regional bus routes. As such, the government is inviting all citizens to eight public meetings, attended by Minister François Bausch, on the subject of public mobility and the organisation of future routes. Users are encouraged to state their actual needs, be it at these meetings or on the Ministry’s website.
The Ministry has stated that its mission and responsibility is to ensure an efficient and reliable public transport system to reach the goals envisioned by the MoDu mobility concept. It also aims to satisfy the need for increased movement in order to guarantee socio-economic growth in Luxembourg, whilst reducing traffic as well as environmental damage and, finally, improving everyone’s quality of life.
In this context, the Ministry is planning to create new interchanges which allow changes between buses and trains, trams or other buses to have a more equal traffic flow. Indeed, these measures all require changes not only in regard to transport organisation, but also to the habits of current and future public transport users.

Wednesday 07 December 2016, 19:00 in Echternach Primary School’s salle des fêtes
Thursday 08 December 2016, 19:00 in the salle des fêtes of the ‘Nic Welter’ building, Mersch
Wednesday 14 December 2016, 19:00 in the auditorium of the ‘Maison du Savoir’, Belval
Monday 19 December 2016, 19:00 at the ‘Nicolas Braun’ centre, Hesperange
