Bee Together and Naturpark Mëllerdall (NPM) are organising an event for planting trees for National Tree Day on 26 November 2016 from 09:45 to 12:30.

The group will be planting heirloom fruit trees, which are particularly important for biodiversity, resistant to pests and diseases and more adaptable to climate change than fruit trees that are popular for the consistency, shape or colour of their fruit. For these pollinators (e.g. social bees, solitary bees, butterflies, hoverflies), pesticide-free and a variety of flora are essential for their survival.

To attend, please register before 22 November at https://goo.gl/FIMRR0.

There is no cost for the event though the organisers would appreciate donations based on the principle of: Pay What You Wish. You decide how much you would like to donate. Donations from the event will be given to NPM’s initiative. Please bring cash to put in the donation box at the event or make a transfer to Bee Together's bank account - mentioning "NPM heirloom varieties orchard" (BCEELULL, IBAN LU46 0019 4555 2039 4000).
