On Sunday 6 November 2016, Frankfurt-Hahn Airport started a new weekly flight connection.
The logistics aircraft Senator International will continue to fly with a Boeing 747-400 and the aircraft will also market for ad hoc charter flights - and thus offers potential for further freight orders from the Rhein-Main area.
The new service offers around-the-clock turnarounds and a well-trained team, which does not stop even when faced with heavy or bulky goods, since cargo handling at Frankfurt-Hahn airport creates optimal conditions for customers who rely on a high degree of flexibility.
Sales manager Roger Scheifele, who together with Uwe Dik, Branch Manager and Airfreight Coordinator at Senator International, opened the new connection, said: "We are pleased to welcome Senator International as a new customer at Frankfurt-Hahn airport". Senator International’s new cargo connection to the United States was not the only event celebrated: there has also been another agreed cooperation with the charter broker Chapman Freeborn, who is marketing the machine for more flights from Frankfurt-Hahn.
"The Air Atlanta Icelandic aircraft will conduct weekly flights between Hahn and the Greenville-Spartanburg in South Carolina," said Roger Scheifele. Another weekly direct connection is also set up between Munich airport and the US. For the remaining time- exactly three days a week- the Boeing 474-400 will remain stationed at Hahn and marketed exclusively by the charter broker Chapman Freeborn.
"The aim will be to keep the aircraft in the air for most of the time," explained Roger Scheifele. He added that: "Through our 24-hour approval, we have optimal conditions, and our high flexibility, short turnaround times and our central location in Germany offer the best conditions for both charter and scheduled flights.”
