The 2016 edition of ACL’s tyres and lights campaign will end on Friday 18 November, so there is still some time to check the condition of your tyres and lights for free at ACL’s site in Bertrange between 08:30 and 18:00.
As this year’s campaign comes to a close, ACL reminds the public that visibility conditions on the road deteriorate in Autumn, thus seeing well and being seen are essential. Therefore, ACL recommends that the public check that their lights are working correctly.
The company also recommends that, for safety reasons, tyres with a legal minimum depth of 1.6mm are at least 4mm. Winter tyres are obligatory in winter conditions such as snow or ice.
As in previous years, ACL offer a free check of lights and tyres in different places in Luxembourg: on 4 and 7 November, this will take place at Cactus Bascharage; on 8 November, at Cactus Redange/Attert; on 10 and 11 November at Cactus Hobbi Ingeldorf/Diekirch; on 17 November, Knauf Pommerloch. This service is available from 10:00 until 18:00.
Throughout the campaign, the ACL Diagnostic Centre in Bertrange (54, route de Longwy) is open to all motorists from Monday to Friday, non-stop, between 08:00 and 18:00. There will be no controls in ACL’s Diekirch offices.
