Claude Turmes, MEP for Luxembourg’s Green Party, has announced that a conference on the topic of “Sharing Economy” will take place on Thursday 24 November 2016 in 1535° Creativity Hub in Differdingen, starting from 18:30.
The conference “Sharing Economy: New consumer culture or new economic order” will discuss the new economy of sharing in areas such as replacement, hiring and renting. It will focus on the challenges this new economy poses for civil society, business and politics, as well as the ways in which social security systems can be maintained. It will also discuss possible contributions to sustainable business as afforded by the sharing economy.
Roberto Traversini, Green MP and Mayor of Differfange, will give a welcome speech before Charkes Turmes leads the discussion panel at the event. There will also be keynote speeches by Andreas Gebhard, the founder and CEO of re:publica, and Damien Demailly, the coordinator of the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations’ (IDDRI) programme “New Prosperity” (“Neuer Wohlstand”).
