Luxembourg independent law firm Arendt & Medernach has announced the implementation of a car sharing system with SwopCar.
The law firm’s decision to implement car sharing in collaboration with SwopCar has also strengthened its relationship with vehicle leasing company LeasePlan.
Car sharing is an interesting option in regard to multimodal transportation, which is what Arendt & Medernach hopes to promote. Their new collaboration with SwopCar will involve the use of four electric Volkswagen cars, which can be hired by collaborators via a smartphone app or online via a website. Even the opening and closing of the car works through the use of this app which becomes the car’s virtual keys.
The decision to use electric vehicles comes at a time when Arendt & Medernach is trying to decrease its carbon footprint. The law firm hopes to show its collaborators the importance of using shared or public transport as a daily easy alternative means of transportation.
