The National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) has announced a survey which will study the resident population’s holidays, trips and excursions.
This survey is being carried out as part of a community regulation regarding European statistics on tourism. It will take into account past trips and excursions only, as opposed to future trips.
German society TIP Biehl & Partner, the headquarters of which are in Trier, are entrusted with carrying out the survey which will be done via telephone. It will take place between 5 October and 18 November 2016, Monday to Friday from 17:00 to 20:30, and Saturdays between 11:00 and 16:00.
Statec has issued a reminder to the public of the importance of taking part in its surveys. The input of reliable information is essential in order for the State, the economy and its institutions to work well.
The institution will not share or use individual responses for any reason other than to create statistics, which are protected under Article 16 of the law modified on 10 July 2011.
