An April 2016 road safety campaign conducted by the Grand Ducal Police will aim to provide preventive and repressive actions targeted towards the safety of motorcyclists.
The police claimed that such motorists will be getting back out on the roads after a long so-called 'hibernation period', as the vast majority of these drivers mainly use their motorcycles for pleasure rides and not as a regular means of transport, meaning that they have not ventured out in the past few months and accidents are bound to occur. According to the police, two-wheel enthusiasts overestimating their abilities is a major risk factor for road accidents.
The campaign will run throughout the month of April 2016.
