The first Fashion Days event was underway on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October 2015, showcasing modern stylists and innovative designers.
Attendees came from India, Italy, Brazil, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Cape Verde to experience the inaugural edition of Fashion Days at Casino 2000, the first event of its kind in the Grand Duchy.
On Saturday, the winners of the Startup Designer Awards were announced, in which 16 individuals entered in the Jewellery category and 13 in the Ready-to-Wear category. The Awards aim to reward young designers and highlight their forward-thinking talents.
This was followed by a gala evening celebrating excellence in design and bringing together all the major players in the fashion industry.
The 2015 winners were:
- Category: Clothing by JBC - Enora Hiernaux of Belgium with the theme Chronophotography. Enora will receive €5,000 from event partner JBC to create a collection to be available in 150 brand outlets.
- Category: Jewellery - Nadia Denis of Belgium for her handmade pieces frozen in time. MUDAM will be providing a stand for Nadia at the Creators Market ('Marché de Créateurs') on 12 and 13 December 2015.
