Despite a great start by the Luxembourg national team at the European Championships in Champéry, Switzerland, when they defeated Iceland in the opening game, the next three games all resulted in defeats.

The 7-3 win against Iceland was followed by a 5-7 loss to Serbia, a 7-9 loss to Slovenia and a 3-7 loss to France.

The next match will see Luxembourg up against tournament newcomer Andorra.
