The Luxembourg Field Sports Federation (LFSF) has announced the arrival of its sixth member: Roundnet Luxembourg.
Known as a union of lesser known sports in the Grand Duchy, the LFSF welcomed its sixth member in January 2024. The federation now brings together Gaelic sport, flying disc (ultimate frisbee and disc golf), footgolf, lacrosse, Touch rugby and roundnet (Spikeball).
Roundnet Luxembourg is the first and only club in Luxembourg that currently exercises the peculiar sport of "roundnet", also known as "Spikeball". Imagine a 360° version of volleyball, but with a small circular net on the ground. Roundnet is played 2 vs 2 and is a fast paced sport that is considered beginner friendly and can be played indoors as well as outdoors.
Founded in 2020 and located in the municipality of Sanem, Roundnet Luxembourg experienced a rapid growth in members in the last year and club has shared its hopes of getting the word out about roundnet across the Grand Duchy.
