The Ukraine-Luxembourg Business Club (ULBC) has been rebranded as the Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (LUCC).

According to the LUCC, this new name reflects the organisation's growing reach and impact, building on five years of activities and experience linking Luxembourg and Ukraine.

The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce accredited the ULBC as a chamber of commerce on 23 November 2022. ULBC members then took the decision to change the name at their General Meeting on 29 December 2022. The Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register (Registre de Commerce et des Sociétés - RCS) registered the organisation's new name on 14 February 2023.

"Our major ambition is to help the development of Ukraine's economy notwithstanding the war of aggression, to assist Ukrainian companies as Ukraine pursues its accession to the EU and becoming first an emerging and then a developed market. Being a financial centre for the EU, Luxembourg has many useful resources for that - financial infrastructure, capital, know-how, reliable jurisdiction, etc.," said Evgenia Paliy, LUCC President. "The reason why we are changing our name is quite simple - we feel ready for new challenges and for a new, more active and wider role in the development of cooperation between the two countries."

Founded in Luxembourg in 2017 (as Ukraine-Luxembourg Business Club), LUCC is a non-profit organisation that facilitates business-to-business and business-to-government relations between Ukraine and Luxembourg. LUCC's aim is to support the relationship between the business communities and authorities in both countries. Through its extensive networks across a range of sectors, it works to connect companies, develop skills and knowledge, promote business with potential counterparts, give them access to useful information and advice about doing business in either country, and facilitate economic and cultural programmes, seminars, business forums and other events on business development, trading, trends and business opportunities in Ukraine and Luxembourg.
