During August, the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) is organising a series of live music concerts and entertainment on the bandstand on Place d'Armes in Luxembourg city.
The programme of the Plëss series of concerts focuses on bands and ensembles from the Grand Duchy and is also open to all forms of ambient music and foreign ensembles. The bandstand will become a platform for indigenous musicians and will allow residents and visitors to discover all kinds of live music.
One of the Plëss concerts is a special evening "Singers and Songwriters - A special Ladies Night" that will enchant the public on Thursday 25 August 2016 from 18:30.
The three artists Aino Löwenmark (Sweden), Emilie Duval (Luxembourg) and Stephanie Neigel (Germany) will enchant the audience with their magical voices. On this occasion, chairs will be installed in front of the bandstand for the comfort of the audience.
Aino Löwenmark is a singer, pianist and composer based in Sweden. In Luxembourg, she will present excerpts from her first solo album "Human", a collection of pop and folk ballads in Swedish, English and German.
Emilie Duval, an exceptional singer and a multifaceted artist, is of French origin, but her music has a Luxembourgish influence. She has a great vocal technique which covers more than four octaves, all present in her two albums.
Stephanie Neigel is a young German singer-songwriter who combines folk music with jazz to create her own musical identity. She uses her voice as an instrument. Her texts are honest and tend to move the audience. On stage, she likes to entertain the audience by dancing and laughing.
