On Saturday 10 October, the 15th edition of the 'Nuit des Musées' event will take place, allowing participants to discover exhibitions and museum collections amidst a special ambiance.
This edition of the 'Nuit des Musées', the flagship event of the 'd'stater muséeën' group, has been organised as part of 'The International Year of Light', as 2015 was decreed by the United Nations. Consequently, the six museums on the tour will shine under the lights of projectors and will each feature a personal favourite from an exhibit or exhibition, chosen by six presidents of associations or institutions.
In addition, each museum will offer visitors a culinary surprise upon their arrival. The six museums involved are the Modern art forum of Casino Luxembourg; Villa Vauban, Musée d'Art de la Ville de Luxembourg; Musée d'Histoire de la Ville de Luxembourg; Musée national d'Histoire et d'Art; Musée Dräi Eechelen: Forteresse, Histoire, Identités; and Mudam Luxembourg.
Pre-sale tickets cost €12 for adults and €8 for children and teenagers between 12 and 24, as well as students. These tickets go on sale on 1 October 2015 at the participating museums and at the Luxembourg City Tourist Office headquarters in Place Guillaume II.
Tickets on the night cos €15 for adults, €10 for children and teenagers from 12 to 24, as well as students. Entrance is free for children under the age of 12.
