On Wednesday 20 December 2023, the Société Nationale de Sécurité Technique (SNCT) and the Automobile Club du Luxembourg (ACL) announced that they have established a partnership aimed at allowing SNCT teams to carry out technical inspections at the ACL Diagnostic Centre located in Bertrange.
The SNCT and the ACL have joined forces; to facilitate access to technical inspections, the SNCT asked to be able to use the ACL infrastructure, namely the Diagnostic Centre, in order to organise technical inspections of vehicles. This request was accepted by the ACL in order to work towards better mobility and to support road users.
As a result, from next year, the SNCT will therefore have six sites to carry out technical inspections, namely: Livange, Esch-sur-Alzette, Sandweiler, Bissen, Marnach and Bertrange (ACL).
Concretely, motorists will be able to choose to carry out the technical inspection in Bertrange, on the ACL site, every Saturday (from 07:00 - 13:00) from January 2024. Making an appointment is only accessible online on the SNCT website (www.snct.lu).
Technical inspections will only be accessible for cars and will be carried out by SNCT agents. In the first step, only credit card payments will be accepted.
