The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a delivery van in Dudelange on Tuesday afternoon.
In the late afternoon of Tuesday 12 December 2023, a road accident occurred on the Route de Luxembourg in Dudelange, involving a delivery van and two pedestrians.
According to initial information, a man was crossing the road with his child when the driver of an approaching delivery van "was unable to brake in time" and hit both individuals. The child did not suffer any serious injuries, but was taken to hospital for a check-up. The man, however, suffered more serious injuries. He was also taken to hospital after initial treatment on-site.
The police carried out an accident investigation on-site and drew up a report.
