The Grand Ducal Police and the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps have reported that a fatal road accident involving two cars occurred between Gluck roundabout and Rocade de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg City on Wednesday evening.
Around 20:15 on Wednesday 11 May 2022, for reasons that remain unclear, there was a head-on collision between two cars. The two drivers (the sole occupants of their respective vehicles) were trapped in their cars and both passed away at the scene of the accident before the emergency services could help them.
The measurement and detection service was on site to clarify the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
The road was closed to traffic until the early hours of Thursday morning.
