Luxembourg's National Roads Administration has announced that construction work will commence on the A3 motorway between the Gasperich cross and the Livange interchange on the evening of Saturday 12 March 2022.

These works from part of a project aimed at widening the A3 motorway. During the construction period, in the direction of Metz (France), the hard shoulder will be removed to create work space. The width of the two traffic lanes will be reduced and the speed will be limited to 70 km / h on the section in question.

In order to limit the impact on traffic, traffic on two lanes will be guaranteed throughout the duration of the work. A few occasional one-lane roadblocks leading to single-lane traffic will be necessary (outside peak hours).

Consequently, from 20:00 on Saturday 12 March until around 07:00 on Monday 14 March 2022, as well as during the nights (from 20:00 to 07:00) from Monday 14 March to Friday 18 March 2022, traffic will be diverted to one lane of traffic and the speed will be limited to 70 km / h.

The end of work on this first batch is scheduled for September 2024.

The implementation of the construction site in the direction of Luxembourg between the Livange interchange and the Gasperich cross is scheduled for mid-April 2022.
