The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a motorist died as a result of a single-vehicle accident on Saturday evening.

The accident happened at around 19:15 on the CR139 between Lellig and Herborn, near Wasserbillig. According to the police, the motorist probably lost control of his car in a long left-hand corner and hit a tree with the driver's side of his vehicle. The motorist suffered serious injuries and was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
