The Grand Ducal Police have reported that the national traffic police carried out motorcycle checks this morning.
On Thursday between 06:45 and 09:00, the national traffic police, in collaboration with the regional traffic police for the capital and the centre-east and the highway police, carried out a large-scale traffic control on the A3 in the direction of Luxembourg.
The checks were organised as part of the current motorcycle safety campaign and the main focus was on motorcyclists who squeezed through traffic jams and thereby endangered themselves and others, according to police reports.
On this occasion, the police issued a total of 84 fines. Further checks are set to follow.
