The A6 motorway between the Gasperich cross and the Cessange cross will be closed to road users from this Friday to Sunday due to construction works.

Due to a project related to the renewal of the wearing course on the A6 motorway between the Gasperich and Cessange crosses, there will be traffic changes from 21:00 on Friday 17 May until 22:00 on Sunday 19 May 2019.

During this period, the sliproads of the Gasperich cross from the A3 Bettembourg cross and towards the A6 and A1 motorways will be closed. Similarly, the sliproads of the Gasperich cross from the Gluck roundabout of the A3 and towards the A6 and the sliproad of the Hesperange interchange from the CR231 and towards the Gasperich cross of the A3 will be closed to traffic.

In addition, the A6 motorway between the Gasperich cross and the Cessange cross towards the Belgian-Luxembourg border and the A3 at the Bettembourg cross towards the Gasperich cross will be closed.

Traffic from the French-Luxembourg border (A3) and the German-Luxembourg border (A13) to the Belgian-Luxembourg border (A6) will be diverted from the Bettembourg cross via the A13 and the A4 to the Cessange cross towards the A6 motorway. Similarly, traffic from the French-Luxembourg border (A3) and towards the Gasperich cross (A3/A1) will be diverted from the Bettembourg cross via the A13 and the Hellange interchange back on the motorway A3 to the Gasperich cross.

Meanwhile, traffic coming from the Bettembourg cross (A3) and towards the A1 will be diverted via the Gluck roundabout back on the Gasperich cross to the A1 motorway. Traffic from the Gluck roundabout (A3) and the German-Luxembourg border (A1) and towards the Cessange cross (A6) will also be diverted from the Gasperich cross via the A3 - Bettembourg cross - A13 - Esch - A4 junction to the Cessange cross.

Since the preparatory work necessary for the closure of the A6 motorway will take place a few hours beforehand, traffic disruptions are expected in the early evening.
