Like every year, the “E Kaddo fir de Vëlo” initiative marked the launch of European Mobility Week on Wednesday 16 September 2020.

On Wednesday morning, the City of Luxembourg, represented by Patrick Goldschmidt, the alderman responsible for mobility, the Verkéiersbond and the Lëtzebuerger Vëlos-Initiativ distributed around 1,000 bags containing gadgets and information materials to all cyclists who passed near the Schuman Roundabout, crossed the footbridge of Adolphe Bridge or took the elevator that connects Pfaffenthal to the Upper Town. The event served to put cyclists in the spotlight and encourage soft mobility in the capital.

The next events taking place in the framework of European Mobility Week 2020 are free guided multimodal tours in the capital, provided by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO). This year, tours will be exclusively outdoors due to COVID-19-related restrictions. Tours will take place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 202, departing from Place Guillaume II at 11:00 (French), 13:00 (German) and 15:00 (English). Participation is free but registration is required on www.lcto.lu.
