The Skoda Tour de Luxembourg will begin at 13:00 on Thursday 6 June 2019 in Place Guillaume II (Knuedler - Am Greuf/Rue du Fossé) in Luxembourg-Ville.

The Ville de Luxembourg has announced a number of changes to traffic and public transport before and during this cycling event. These changes will come into effect the day before, on Wednesday 5 June 2019, when the prologue cycle through the streets will take place, and will last until Sunday 9 June 2019, when the cyclists arrive at Rue Albert Unden (Pabeierbierg, Limpertsberg).

The prologue of the Skoda Tour will begin at 19:00 in the Petrusse valley in the car park of the Information and Communication Technologies Department (2, Roosevelt Boulevard), before passing through Rue de la Semois, Vallée de la Pétrusse, Rue St. Quirin, Rue St. Ulric, Montée du Grund, Rue Large, Rue Sigefroi, Rue du Rost, Rue de l’Eau and Rue du Fossé. The arrival of the last cyclist (Rue du Fossé near Place Guillaume II) is scheduled for 21:00.

During this time, the circuit taken by the cyclists will remain closed to traffic from 18:00, except Rue du Fossé where traffic will be prohibited from 16:00 hours to prepare the finish line. Parking will be prohibited along the circuit from 14:00 hours, except in Rue Notre-Dame and Rue du Fossé where parking will be prohibited from 12:00. In addition, the following stops on bus lines 19 and 32 will not be served from 18:00 onwards: Cathédrale, Gruef, Kasinosgaass and Badanstalt Quai 2. These will be replaced by Hamilius Quai 1 (line 19) and Hamilius Quai 2 (line 32). Also from 18:00, line 23 will run between the Gare and Clausen districts in both directions via the Montée de Clausen. Stadtgrund will not be served. Travellers to/from Grund are advised to use the Grund - Ville Haute lift or lines 9, 14 and 20 to/from the Rumm stop (Rue de Trèves). Indeed, Stadgronn Bréck, Rumm and Tour Jacob will be removed from line 23 at 18:00, whilst line 23 will serve the Clausener Bréck Quai 2 instead of Quai 3.

The Skoda Tour will officially begin on Thursday 6 June 2019 at 13:00 in Rue du Fossé. Cyclists will then pass through Côte d’Eich, Place Dargent, Rue Auguste Laval and Route d’Echternach, where the cyclists, supervised by the Luxembourg Police, will head towards Waldhaff.

Rue Notre-Dame (between Eue de l'Ancien Athénée and Rue du Fossé), Rue du Fossé, Rue de l'Eau and Rue Sigefroi will be closed to all traffic if necessary between 11:00 and 13:30. Similarly, bus lines 19 and 32 will not serve the following stops between these times: Cathédrale, Gruef, Kasinosgaass and Badanstalt Quai 2. These will be replaced by Hamilius Quai 1 (line 19) and Hamilius Quai 2 (line 32).

Upon the arrival of the 4th stage of the Skoda Tour, the cyclists will enter the city via Rue d'Echternach, Rue Auguste Laval, Côte d’Eich, Rue des Glacis and Avenue Victor Hugo before cycling through Rue Michel Lentz, Rue Evrard Ketten, Avenue de la Faïencerie, Rue du Rollingergrund, Rue Albert Unden, Boulevard Pershing, Rue Lucien Wercollier, Avenue J. Sax and Avenue Victor Hugo.

The circuit taken by the cyclists will remain closed to all traffic from 13:00 to 16:00 and parking will be prohibited along the route at the indicated locations from 12:00 to 18:00. Exceptionally, Rue Albert Unden, Boulevard Feltgen and Boulevard Pershing will be closed to all traffic between 08:00 and 18:00 and parking will be prohibited from 07:00 to 18:00. The municipal bus service will be modified as follows:

- between 08:00 and 13:00 hours and between 16:30 and 18:00 approximately, the Waassertuerm, Avenir and Siggy vu Lëtzebuerg stops will be removed and replaced by the Square André or Lycée Michel Lucius stops;

- between 13:00 and 16:30 approximately, lines 2 and 30 will be diverted between the city centre and Limpertsberg via Avenue du Bois to the temporary terminus in the courtyard of Hall Victor Hugo. For the return from Limpertsberg to the city centre, lines 2 and 30 will be diverted from the temporary terminus via avenue Victor Hugo - Avenue de la Porte-Neuve, etc. The stops Lycée de Garçons, Alen Tramsschapp, Square André, Waassertuerm, Avenir, Siggy vu Lëtzebuerg, Faïencerie/INL, Henri VII, Ermesinde, Uni-campus Limpertsberg, Batty Weber and Lycée Michel Lucius will not be served during these times. Finally, line 21 will run between the city centre (Monterey / Hamilius) and Eich, Eecheplaz, via Rue des Glacis - Côte d’Eich towards the Eich, Centre Culturel terminus and vice-versa. The districts of Rollingergrund and Muhlenbach will not be served during these times.
