On Saturday 3 October 2015, the ground floor of Cercle Cité and a part of Place d'Armes in Luxembourg City will be transformed into indoor and outdoor play areas as the 4th edition of 'Journée Jeux de Société - Spill Mat' takes place.
The event, organised by the Educational Entertainment and Leisure Centre (CAPEL) of the Ville de Luxembourg, will allow visitors to discover board games old and new, many of which have won international awards.
Available games will include dice and cards, as well as skill and puzzle games and wooden toys. The 'Ludobus' will also be present, offering a variety of board games itself.
Participation in the event is free of charge, and will be open from 10:00 to 17:00.
On the same day, Handicap International will also be in Place d'Armes to hold its 16th Pyramid of Shoes rallying against the use of landmines and cluster bombs.
