On Thursday 12 September 2024, the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) provided a report on its activities at this year's Schueberfouer.
The CGDIS noted that it had set up a rescue system throughout the Schueberfouer to ensure the safety of visitors. Every day from 23 August to 11 September 2024, between eight and twelve volunteer and professional firefighters were present on-site from 12:00 (noon) to 01:00 to intervene in the event of incidents (rescue and fire/rescue).
CGDIS firefighters treated a total of 312 people on-site. In the majority of cases, these were minor problems. A total of 31 people were evacuated by ambulance to a hospital, five of whom had to be treated by the SAMU emergency medical service.
The CGDIS also noted that an attraction had remained blocked temporarily at the start of the event but that, ultimately, no intervention by firefighters was necessary. In addition, an ashtray that had caught fire was quickly extinguished by the firefighters on-site.
