On Tuesday 1 July 2025, Ligue Santé Mentale announced it had officially launched www.pssm.lu, Luxembourg’s first website dedicated to Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
According to Ligue Santé Mentale, the website was introduced as part of its mission to promote mental health, in line with the National Mental Health Plan. The website aims to improve access to information for the general public and professionals, centralise registration for MHFA courses and educate on the subjects of prevention and intervention in relation to mental health issues, creating a better understanding of mental health disorders, understanding how to react when faced with a person in distress and fostering a caring and informed culture around mental health.
The website is aimed at:
• the general public wishing to become a first aider;
• future instructors;
• businesses and associations;
• municipal administrations.
Key features of the website include:
• a simplified course registration system (Standard, Youth);
• an information space on the organisation of PSSM courses;
• a detailed FAQ;
• a connection to the educational platform;
• a dynamic counter displaying the number of first aiders trained in Luxembourg (Standard, Youth, Teen).
Executive Officer and Head of the Prevention and Training Department at Ligue Santé Mentale, Barbara Bucki, emphasised: "With this new site, we want to give greater visibility to a fundamental program, while facilitating access to information and registration. It is also a way to unite a true community of mental health first aiders on a national scale.”
In its press release, Ligue Santé Mentale said: “With already more than 1% of the population trained in Mental Health First Aid in Luxembourg, we wanted everyone to have access to a clear site to obtain information and facilitate registration. This website represents a first step in building a true community of mental health first aiders nationwide.”
