On Friday 11 February 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 917 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 969 fatalities (one new death since Thursday) resulting from the virus to date.

917 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Friday from a total of 4,270 tests carried out the day before, representing 144.47 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 21.51%. Wednesday 26 January 2022 marked the record daily high of 3,073 new cases.

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 1065.86. 

A total of 73 people are in hospital with the virus, including nine patients in intensive care. 

There are currently 22,636 active infections known, whilst a total of 149,814 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.61.

A total of 1,250,758 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (476,709 first doses, 423,149 second doses, 350,900 additional doses). A total of 464,611 people are now fully vaccinated.

The incidence rate (per 100,000 inhabitants) for unvaccinated individuals was 213.09; for vaccinated individuals, this was 117.07. These figures only take into consideration people who returned a positive PCR test.
