On Thursday 10 February 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 1,050 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 968 fatalities (two new deaths since Wednesday) resulting from the virus to date.

1,050 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Thursday from a total of 4,280 tests carried out the day before, representing 165.42 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 24.54%. Wednesday 26 January 2022 marked the record daily high of 3,073 new cases.

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 1217.43. 

A total of 81 people are in hospital with the virus, including nine patients in intensive care. 

There are currently 24,733 active infections known, whilst a total of 146,801 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.66.

A total of 1,249,065 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (476,544 first doses, 422,489 second doses, 350,032 additional doses). A total of 463,950 people are now fully vaccinated.

The incidence rate (per 100,000 inhabitants) for unvaccinated individuals was 227.73; for vaccinated individuals, this was 140.42. These figures only take into consideration people who returned a positive PCR test.
