On Sunday 10 January 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 104 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 533 fatalities (three more deaths since Saturday) resulting from the virus to date.
104 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Sunday from a total of 7,613 tests carried out the day before, representing 16.61 per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.37%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
93 people are in hospital with the virus, including 21 patients in intensive care. On Thursday 7 January, there were 2,735 active infections known, whilst a total of 44,482 people have recovered from the virus to date.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 151.43. One week ago this figure was 155.00 and two weeks ago it was 191.29.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg stands at 0.88.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
