
The number of people having tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Luxembourg stands at 3,537 (up 57 from Friday), including 72 fatalities resulting from the virus, as of late afternoon on Saturday 18 April 2020.
Of those people having tested positive for coronavirus to date, 2,907 are residents and 630 are non-residents. The average age of those testing positive is 46, with the ratio of men to women is 50.7% / 49.3%, while the median age of the victims (excluding one patient from the Grand Est) who lost their lives to the virus is 84.5. 180 people remain hospitalised at present in relation to COVID-19, including 32 patients (plus nine from the Grand Est) in intensive care. Nevertheless, 601 have been discharged from hospital.
Since the beginning of the crisis, Luxembourg has carried out a total of 33,252 tests (27,102 on residents, 6,150 on non-residents).
