Luxembourg's Road and Bridges Administration has announced the temporary closure of part of the N5 between Bascharage and Pétange due to roadworks.
The N5 will be closed in both directions over a stretch of approximately 200 metres from 07:00 on Wednesday 26 August until 20:00 on Friday 28 August 2026.
The closure is taking place as part of redevelopment works at the junction of Rue de la Reconnaissance Nationale, Route de Luxembourg, Rue Jules Hemmer and Rue des Ateliers.
According to the authorities, the works will include the installation of traffic lights at the junction to improve safety, while motorists can follow a signposted diversion for the duration of the closure.
