The Regional Tourist Office of the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg's Little Switzerland recently unveiled a new visual identity for the region.
Christophe Origer, President of the Regional Tourist Office of the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg's Little Switzerland, announced the news during the regional tourist office's general assembly on Thursday 17 March 2022. This was also the occasion for Managing Director Linda Salentin to review the year 2021 and give an outlook of projects for 2022.
A few months ago, the regional tourist office's team launched the process of defining its visual needs and integrating itself into the national branding with Luxembourg for Tourism. The region's new brand is designed to be contemporary, functional and flexible. It has been adapted to all print and digital applications and is designed to meet the modern requirements for branding and communication.
The decision of the regional tourist office to change its image is due to a change in the demands of today's visitors. "A brand is more than a logo. Language and photos are also an important part of the new visual identity", explained Christophe Origer.
The new logo takes up the "M" from the Mullerthal Trail logo, which has been well known for many years now. The colour of the regional logo is green, like the color of flora and nature. The red colour of the Mullerthal Trail logo has been made a little lighter and more "fresh". The name "Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland" has become an integral part of the new logo, as it represents a strong historical link for many people in the region.
Photos also have a strong meaning. The photos that will be used from now on in publications will be authentic and reflect the diversity of the region. There have been photo shoots on various topics like hiking, cycling and culture.
The new logo will be gradually integrated into the regional tourist office's online and print publications.
