Luxembourg trade unions, the LCGB and the OGBL, have confirmed the planned redeployment of around 100 Goodyear employees from the Colmar-Berg site.

On Tuesday 24 November 2020, the tyre manufacturer announced its intention to redeploy staff to other Goodyear factories in Europe, including to its new site in Dudelange, as it relocates low volume car tyre production out of Colmar-Berg. The manufacturer assured that prototyping and tyre service activities, carried out within this same site, would not be impacted.

The management of Goodyear together with the LCGB and OGBL unions will begin discussions in order to develop a job retention plan which respects the common will of various parties to reassign all the employees concerned to other Goodyear sites in Luxembourg. The objective will be to agree on the accompanying measures within the job retention plan quickly and to close this redeployment process over a period of twelve to eightteen months.
