On Thursday 2 June 2016, the Luxembourg Secretary of State, Francine Closener, visited the Faymonville group in Lentzweiler which designs, develops and produces specialised semi-trailers for special loads and transport specialised in "float glass".
The Faymonville group has invested in a new 10,000 m2 factory dedicated to producing customised trailers and is concentrating its logistics centre in Luxembourg, as well as a training and delivery centre for customers.
The production line of the Faymonville group has a leading character in sustainable industrial production. Its technical design aims to minimise overall energy requirements and, therefore, environmental impact.
"The economic prospects of the FEL S.A. company are based on substantial research projects conducted in recent years through the financial support of the government," the Secretary of State commented during her speech. "This company sets an example to follow by other manufacturers to embark on the path of innovation and sustainable development in order to ensure its long-term competitiveness."
An important objective in the company's policy is the implementation of the "Industry 4.0" concept.
