Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Serious Assault in Diekirch

On Friday 24 July 2026, the Grand Ducal Police launched an appeal for witnesses following a serious assault which occurred in Diekirch on Sunday 19 July.

According to the police, at approximately 03:45 on Sunday, a large fight broke out in the vicinity of the Aal Seeërei area in Diekirch. 

According to initial information, a group of approximately fifteen to 20 people assaulted a single individual. The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. The victim remains in a life-threatening condition.

In connection with this incident, the Criminal Police are appealing for any relevant information about the offence and the suspect or suspects.
