As part of the process for creating the application for the city of Esch-sur-Alzette and partner municipalities to be nominated European Capital of Culture 2022, the Ministry of Culture made a presentation to the Colleges of Mayors and Aldermen.
The presentation was made by Sylvain Pasqua, team leader for the coordination of the Capitals of Culture at the European Commission in the presence of the President of the Chamber of Deputies Mars di Bartolomeo, as Ambassador of the European Capital of Culture. Culture 2022, Guy Arendt, Secretary of State for Culture and representatives of the municipalities of Esch-sur-Alzette, Bettembourg, Differdange, Dudelange, Kayl, Mondercange, Petange, Sanem, Schifflange and the community of communes of the Country High Val d'Alzette.
The deadline for submitting the final application for the title of European Capital of Culture 2022 is 15 September 2017.
